
Country Notes
5th October 2008 - Leaves of Red-barked Dogwood turning purplish brown. 
29th September 2008 - About a dozen Fieldfares in trees near Tornewton. 
19th September 2008 - Great masses of Swallows gathering on the coast at Slapton Ley.
15th September 2008 - A few Shaggy Inkcaps on the playing field. 
10th September 2008 - Swallows feeding up and becoming more excited ready for migration. 
9th September 2008 - A Long-horned Moth on a fence in Orchard Close.
8th September 2008 - Spiders having a field-day with the numerous Cabbage White caterpillars crawling up fences and walls to pupate.
7th September 2008 - A mixed flock of about thirty Thrushes feeding on Rowan Berries on Moorland Avenue, namely Mistle Thrush, Redwing, Song Thrush and Fieldfare. 
4th September 2008 - A flock of Long-Tailed Tits foraging trees at Horsehills Farm. 
30th August 2008 - Daddy-Longlegs starting to appear. 
26th August 2008 - Horse Chestnuts beginning to turn brown and a few swallows starting to congregate on the wires over Ogwell Green.
24th August 2008 - A Blue Demoiselle and a Speckled Wood butterfly down Greenhill Lane. Loads of ripe brambles in the hedges. 
22nd August 2008 - Garden Tigers and Plume Moths flying. 
24th November 2007 - A few Cherry trees along East Street flowering out of season.
